I've always liked the idea of St Valentine's. A day to show everyone you care about just how much you care. Plus! Pink!! But it always ends up not living up to my expectations. Either I'm single and alone usually watching Dem with some girl or I've got a boyfriend and he forgets or doesn't believe in the day or something goes wrong and he knocks over a candle and sets my favourite blanket on fire or something and the day is ruined. I wish I could abstain from celebrating but every year I just get so excited when I see all the hearts and pink and frills that I just can't help it! And yet, every year ends the same.

Future Vicky, I'd tell you not to get your hopes up but I know you won't listen to me so I bought a bouquet of pink lilies that will be delivered on Tuesday so you'll remember that someone still loves you! Act surprised when you get them!

The audition results were posted today. I didn't get the part of Giselle, but I didn't think I did that well. Instead, I'll be playing Myrtha, the Queen of the Wilis!! It's a brilliant role and I was really not expecting it at all! I completely thought that I'd blown the audition altogether! Next week is the Magic Flute, that runs for a week and a half and then I have a week off before rehearsals for Giselle begin, I'm going to be exhausted! But I'm so pleased!
